Forthcoming (high kicking) steps with Conversare
There are several which may interest you, particularly if you have an inkling that there is more significance to conversation that meets the eye.
The one reported here is to do with the forthcoming Festival of the Arts 2013 in Adelaide. This is widely acknowledged to be the biggest and best in Australia. It is reckoned to be on a par with the Edinburgh Festival.
Associated with this is Adelaide Fringe which allows any type of artist, national or international, to perform, interact and play with their audiences.

These will take place in late February and early March next year.
It happens that a person who owns a well known café in Adelaide attended a Conversare event in September. He was so taken with the experience that he called me to ask if I would be happy to offer one as a Fringe Event next February.
“Certainly, let’s do it.”
Which fits nicely with the notions of : (Latin) con versare – to turn or to dance together
and
‘Conversation is the greatest of the arts.’

It also happens that another person, a regular participant, who lives in the vicinity of this café had the idea that, instead of having just one event, we have three. “Fine by me.”
He put this to the café owner who said “Yes” and got back to the Fringe organisers who said the same.
And so there will be three Conversare happenings in the Fringe program. I will supply details once this is published. Of which there will be seemingly around 100,000 copies.
Equally lovely is that while I will likely host one of these, the other two will be handled by lively spirits who have been regular participants at the ‘gigs’ at the Whitmore Hotel.
These three events will likely fill quickly and you would do well to book a place as soon as the Fringe program is published. This applies to people who live in Adelaide and to those discerning spirits from ‘out of town’ who plan to be here for the Festival and Fringe. And also to others in distant parts of our little planet who have friends here.
I wonder if you see this what this opportunity to bring conversation to life in congenial contexts could lead to?
Go well
